WOW!!!
I'm really sorry for being late with this, I got caught up with so many outside things, and I haven't been really active on DA for awhile. Never the less I'm back with the results for the FIRST EVER LUKE CAGE CONTEST!!!
Entries were judged on relevance to contest (Black History), manual/ skill, originality, and aesthetics.
I'm quite pleased with the entrees, they're all really stellar!
In third place is with his Power Woman picture. She's the powerful daughter of Luke Cage and Jessica Drew. She has both of their powers, which makes her one of the strongest Marvel Characters out there!
Coming in a very respectable 2nd place is with his incredibly stoic piece Cagged . It's such a wonderfully drawn image of Luke Cage that it's almost hard to believe it's of a comic book character (or took second place)! It's picture that causes it's viewers to spend a moment to think about, and that's why I'm a fan of this particular illustration.
Last in certainly not least is the First Place, Grand Prize winner of the First Ever Contest is
*DRUM ROLL PLEASE*
....
*CYMBAL CRASH*
for her Griot picture!
captured the very essence of this contest with her description, and did a superb job with her unique talents to bring her concept to life. It is a beautiful collaboration resulting in a wonderful composition, that is neither preachy, nor distasteful.
I applaud all participants would like to thank you all again for taking the time to create and enter this contest.
Now the prizes. The super awesome has volunteered to donate points to the winners of this contest. So here they are:
- 5 points
- 10 points
- 20 points (or 10 points 10 points , let me know if that's what you're doing )
Congrats to all of the contestants and thanks again for you're time and talents. There isn't a contest scheduled for awhile, so I would like to here what you guys would be interested in doing. I promise I will not be this late with results in the future
